1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Trift ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Trift is a personal fitness tracking application that helps you log workouts, track nutrition, monitor body measurements, and receive AI-powered coaching. The app stores your data locally on your device with optional cloud sync.

3. Not Medical Advice

Trift is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The calorie calculations, macro targets, AI coaching, and recommendations are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any diet or exercise program, especially if you have medical conditions.

4. User Accounts

Trift uses anonymous authentication by default. You may optionally sign in with Apple or Google, or link an email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and recovery code.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Trift offers a free tier and a paid "Trift Pro" subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at purchase confirmation
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• No refunds for unused portions of a subscription period

6. OpenAI API Key

The AI Coach feature requires you to provide your own OpenAI API key. You are responsible for:

• Any charges incurred on your OpenAI account through use of the app
• Compliance with OpenAI's usage policies
• The security of your API key

Trift stores your API key securely on your device and does not transmit it to our servers.

7. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you create in Trift. We do not claim any rights to your fitness data, photos, or other content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our services or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the app

9. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• Calorie and macro calculations are 100% accurate
• AI-generated meal suggestions or coaching advice are appropriate for your specific situation
• The app will be available at all times without interruption
• Cloud sync will always succeed or that data will never be lost

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or financial losses from OpenAI API usage.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
