Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up the AI Coach?

Go to Profile > App Settings and enter your OpenAI API key. The AI Coach uses your key directly — we never see or store it on our servers. You can get an API key from platform.openai.com.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open your device Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > Trift Pro > Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.

How do I restore my data on a new device?

If you enabled cloud sync, use your recovery code during onboarding on the new device. You can find your recovery code in Profile > App Settings > Sync Settings.

Is my data backed up?

By default, all data is stored locally on your device. To back up your data, enable Cloud Sync in Profile > App Settings > Sync Settings. This stores an encrypted copy of your data in our secure cloud.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Profile > Sign Out. This permanently deletes all local data. For cloud data deletion, email us at support@trift.co.in.

Why are my calories showing for the wrong day?

Make sure you're running the latest version of Trift. We've fixed a timezone issue in the latest update.

Does Trift work offline?

Yes. Trift is built offline-first. All features except AI Coach chat and cloud sync work without an internet connection.
